I really don’t know how to pronounce this! I’ve never been good with pronunciations owing to my non-English background, so this is no surprise.
I have been nominated by the very beautiful Sherina (sherinaspeaks.wordpress.com) and I thank her tremendously for nominating me for the award. It makes me giddy with happiness every time I’m nominated for an award. As always, I believe that each one of us deserves this award. We are all beautiful and talented on our own accord and our writing makes us us. So I nominate each one of you reading this, for this award. Feel free to have an award badge on your site and do let me know after you’ve posted it. I love reading views and opinions of everyone around me.
The rules are as follows:
- Link the person who nominated you to your blog post and let them know you answered their questions.
- Answer the 10 questions given to you by the nominator.
- Nominate 10 other bloggers.
- Create 11 questions for your nominees to answer.
- Let the nominees know that they have been nominated by going to their blog and notifying them.
Here are my answers to Sherina’s questions:
- How are you doing today?
I’m doing pretty great so far. Obviously I don’t have a very happening life and at the moment, I should have been reading for my exams, but here I am, writing. Oh well, if only we could live off a bunch of papers and a pen, I’d probably be the happiest soul.
- Do you prefer to type, or write on pen and paper? Why?
I prefer pen and paper to anything else in the world. I absolutely love crumpling those papers and throwing them around. I love the way the pen glides on the sheet of paper smoothly whenever I have an idea. I believe that having a pen and paper in hand gives us a lot more time to ponder on facts and the things that we want to write about.
- What is your favourite quote? Why?
“Shoot for the moon. Even if you miss it, you’ll still land among the stars.” It just seems to make a lot of sense. Most of the time, we step back and dream smaller because we think that big dreams are out of our reach. But no. If we have to take a risk, it should be dreaming big. It should be striving hard for that dream, so that just in case we miss it, our hard work over the years will land us up in something great.
- Cats or dogs?
Cats, I guess. I am not a big cat or dog person. The only animals I remotely like, are humans.
- What is the first thing you grab at a buffet?
Ice cream! Who doesn’t?
- What is your favourite thing about blogging?
Feedback happens to be every writer’s lifeblood. And I love reading those little comments that other bloggers leave on my posts. Also, the world of blogging introduces me to a myriad of people with varied thoughts. And it’s always a pleasure reading their writing and taking a small leap into their worlds.
- What are you an expert on?
Relationships! I say that with the straightest face. The only travesty of logic is, I never had a relationship of my own.
- What made you smile today?
Sherina! For nominating me for this award!
- What is your dream vacation?
To some place cold and chilly. To a place that remains hidden in the fog, far away from blinding lights and scrawny noises. To a place where the snow smells enticingly fresh. To a place far far above. Where I can be alone.
- What is your ultimate goal in life?
To bring happiness to other people. To inspire them. To do something great for my parents. To keep everyone around me happy.
- Can money buy happiness?
I would have told no, but then, I’ve seen so much poverty and pain around me that I believe money, indeed, makes things better, if not happier. I agree the best things in life are free but the poor man who sits next to the old building, his eyes blinded by the harsh sunlight and dreams doused off within him, believes that if he had some money, he could provide better things for his family and make them happy. People are bound to have different perspectives.
